What we do:
Run SNAPS (Safe Neighbourhoods Action and Problem Solving) groups in each ward to tackle local problems and concerns that matter to you.
SNAPS groups are made up of people who are able to take actions – your Neighbourhood Police Sergeant, Community Safety Officer, local Councillors’, Neighbourhood Manager and the local Your Homes Newcastle Housing Manager.
Plan operations, campaigns and events in local neighbourhoods to tackle crime and community safety problems, for example tackling anti-social behaviour, deliberate fire setting, and improving community confidence and feelings of safety.
Encourage residents to report any crime or community safety issues to make their neighbourhood safer.
